Shanky and Avinash – the couple-preneurs who stepped into the fashion industry together after being tied up in a nuptial bond, met few years ago in a corporate job. They worked in conjunction in the same firm. In the wake of few years, they began liking each other, gradually developing an affectionate relationship which eventually landed to wedding.

Their love prospered and expanded with time. Thereafter came a thought of survival in this competitive world. Sitting at a coffee shop clicked an idea of start-up business.

It is aptly quoted, “It’s not about brand it’s about style.” This thought paved the way to step into apparel industry. Moreover, creatively mixing love and business is like cherry on the cake. Post their wedding when lives revolved around routines and daily chores demanded much more. They abandoned their highly lucrative jobs and leap bound towards common goal, passion and dream i.e., “to make our world happier and naughtier.”

Though, challenges paved their way, but, there is no success without failure and no winning without losing. Obstacles are the road to success. To bring a substantial change in one’s life, the individual has to move on the thorny path. This is what happened in both their lives. The significant shift of becoming an entrepreneur from a service class family requires funding, critical thinking, ingenuity and ability to work to deadliness. “Living with fears stops us taking risks, and if you don’t go out of the branch, you are never going to get the best fruit.”  The couple faced the challenges daringly and fortunately overcome them. The dedication to stay on the chosen path paved their way with flowers.

Entrepreneurship demands essential skills to succeed. Ambition, willingness to learn, perseverance, assertiveness, confidence and courage to risk taking. The couple fulfilled all the desires of a business remarkably. They managed the accounts and build good will with the customers. Friends and family were the biggest support to set t up the business by helping them morally and economically. Subsequently, they went for external fundings which was the call of the day.

The couple welcomed the challenges and embraced them with open arms. To maintain a balance between home and start-up business is a difficult task. The couple managed it brilliantly.

The twosome advices the readers about achieving success is to be perseverant, be positive even though storms and earthquakes pave your way. Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts. A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with bricks others have thrown at him. Long term plans are required to stay alive. Maintaining a balance between personal and professional life has to be taken care of. Laying hypothesis, experimentation and investigation is required to achieve best inference. Always be a part of the community, be social as during exigency we need a shoulder to share.
